I've used a few knife sharpeners over the years, the all pretty much work on the same principal so what would make this sharpener better than most? 1) Size and ease of use. It's tiny but its suction cup design makes it really easy to use. Place on counter, rotate handle down to suction lock to counter. Start sharpening. Small is good, I don't need more stuff taking up counter space so having this be tiny and able to slip into the corner of a drawer is nice. It's small enough to tuck in your pocket so you can take it with you, 2) It works That might seem obvious but a lot of knife sharpeners are either difficult to use without practice or just don't do a very good job. The Prime Sharpener is simple, just draw the knife towards you multiple times, only takes one hand so no risk of slicing your other hand. A few minutes with a knife and it's edge was restored to as good as new sharpness Love it, no reason to not keep your favorite knives sharp when it just takes a couple of minutes to renew the edge on a knife.

I'll admit, I was skeptical when I first saw this knife sharpener. What a pleasant surprise to see how well this little knife sharpener is! I set it up as soon as it arrived, which was very simple, I sharpened EVERYTHING! I am so happy I decided to purchase this little dynamo. I wanted to knock on my neighbors door so I can sharpener her things. Great job to the folks that invented it!

It is actually quite good. Small and portable. The suction is strong so that I feel safe when sharpening. It is a lot easier to use than the one bought from IKEA (which is huge).

Should have bought this ages ago - don't know why I hadn't heard of these before. It's just one of these things which works first time without effort. The suction is incredible. We have Global knives and they haven't been sharpened for years sadly and they were as blunt as my finger! Now I'm actually terrified of them - they glide though anything like a knife through hot butter. Very impressive little number for a small price.
